At Budsies, we have the incredible honor of transforming cherished memories, artwork, and even loved ones into soft, squeezable companions. It’s a job we don’t take lightly, especially when we can bring a bit of brightness to families facing challenging times.
We recently had the pleasure of working with a brave young girl named Abby, who is currently battling childhood cancer. Abby’s journey has meant time spent away from her family, including her loving brother. To bridge the distance during their time apart, we created a Selfie for them: a Selfie of Abby for her brother, and a Selfie of her brother for Abby. Now, even when they’re apart, they each have a soft reminder of their unbreakable bond. Knowing that we could provide such a heartfelt connection for Abby and her brother brings warmth to our hearts.
A Source of Solace
Our Selfies aren’t just plush toys; they’re sources of comfort, especially during moments of grief or separation. We’ve seen firsthand the profound impact they can have. Take, for example, the story of little Lennix. Lennix tragically lost her father to mental illness. To help her cope with such an unimaginable loss, we created a Selfie of her father. This special plushie has become a cherished source of comfort for Lennix, a soft embrace that reminds her of her dad’s love. Seeing the solace that Lennix finds in her father’s Selfie truly underscores the profound impact of what we do.
