The truth is, we are all born with the capacity to be creative. Need proof? All you have to do is simply watch children play. In the eyes of a child, a cardboard box becomes a fortress, a stick becomes a magic wand, and a stuffed animal becomes one of their closest friends. Their ability to play make believe is both adorably infectious and extremely valuable to their growing minds.

As we get older, our creative capacity develops at different rates, levels and in different ways. However, there are some things you can do to help further that development along. The following Ten Commandments of Being Creative are a great start.
