For 2016, we were\u00a0honored to partner with Caroline Snodgrass, Artist in Residence at <strong>Children&#8217;s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA)<\/strong>, to bring <strong>20<\/strong> wonderful kids&#8217; artwork to life.<\/p>\n<h2>Watch the heartwarming reveal video below.<\/h2>\n<p>It&#8217;s been an amazing experience working with CHOA this year. The kids LOVED seeing their art turned into stuffed animals. Watch as they see their creations for the first time!<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eOoXUET3F0I\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Creating The Huggable Stuffed Animals<\/h2>\n<p>The kids were asked to draw something that brought them happiness and comfort.\u00a0And as\u00a0their vivid imaginations took center stage, their excitement was palpable. I am a leader and I will not give up, I will lead to victory&#8221; &#8211; Adolfo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Some of the kids drew\u00a0their favorite animals, while others captured\u00a0how they felt in that exact moment. One little girl in particular, Cheyenne, drew a delicious looking hamburger. When asked about her inspiration for her drawing, she had a very simple, and totally relatable answer. &#8220;Because I was hungry&#8221;,\u00a0she said, matter of factly. He was checking out their matching G-Tubes!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The kids that were able to make it to the reveal party\u00a0eagerly awaited their turn to open their\u00a0Budsies box. We feel so blessed to be able to help provide even the smallest bit of happiness and comfort to these amazing children. They&#8217;ve had to endure things in their short life that\u00a0many people never even have to think about.<\/p>\n<p>An extra special thank you to\u00a0Caroline Snodgrass, CHOA, and the\u00a020 individuals that directly sponsored a child&#8217;s Budsie. Together, we were able to\u00a0provide these children and their families with a special keepsake made just for them.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst all the madness happening worldwide, I appreciate that we can pause to embrace our humanity and spread more love. The outpouring of love and support from the community has been absolutely amazing! Thank you for helping us make a more huggable world. Donors often receive photos of their sponsored child with their Budsies plushie!<\/p>\n<h2>We need your help<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.budsies.com\/budsiespals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Budsies Pals<\/a> is back for 2018!\u00a0This year, we are honored to work with not one but THREE wonderful organizations. Caroline Snodgrass, the Artist in Residence at<strong> Children&#8217;s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite<\/strong>, to bring the magic of Budsies to <strong>20<\/strong> wonderful children. Margaret Crane worked with <strong>12<\/strong> children at Children&#8217;s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. I&#8217;m also thrilled to invite our newest partner this year thanks to Hailey McPhee: the <strong>Ladybug House<\/strong> in Washington DC &#8211; a respite care home for children through young adults with life-limiting illnesses.\u00a0Some of the drawings were made by children who are no longer with us, to be given to their siblings as a memory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.budsies.com\/budsiespals\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2828\" src=\"https:\/\/www.budsies.com\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2018\/05\/budsies-pals-grid-2018-all-choa-kids_2.jpg\" alt=\"Budsies Pals\" width=\"840\" height=\"905\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Help us give these kids\u00a0a huggable plushie of their drawing!
